CARVING: The pendant is exquisitely hand carved jade (one of a kind!) in the form of the Vairocana Buddha (Also known as Mahāvairocana, Da Ri Ru Lai, ). Vairocana Buddha is often interpreted as the historical Gautama Buddha. This piece depicts the Buddha meditating under a tree next to a river with a small bridge.

JADE COLOR: This jade piece has beautiful shades of dark green. This piece is semi-translucent as well; this means when held against the light, the light will partially shine through - a premium quality in jade because it gives the jade a "glow" under certain lighting such as natural light.
